What’s This About?

“What is that feeling when you’re driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? It’s the too huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-by. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.” – Jack Kerouac

Hi, hello, my name is Megan and I am from San Diego, CA. After living in Seoul, South Korea for a year, then relocating to Bangkok, Thailand, I’m back in San Diego (temporarily). I teach English as a Second/Foreign language and love my job. It appears that this blog has organically become more of a place for photo essay style posts, I feel good about that. I continue to maintain this blog in order to document my adventures abroad and at home in the interest of becoming a better story teller .

Things I seek in the world:

Urban gardening, organic farming, taking pictures, fermentation projects, outdoor adventuring, bicycle riding, soccer/fubol, homegrown music, book exchanges, language and culture.

Things you will find here:

Lots of photos of food/people/nature, occasion detailed accounts of a travel experience, an attempt at understanding and working through what I experience on a daily basis, my impressions of how western culture may be present in places where it is not otherwise found, an invitation to discuss anything addressed in a given blog post.
